Assalamualaikum sisters and brothers... :D
Its been a while.. well, "a while" is not really the best term to describe my "missing in action" period~ haha! I wasn't "missing in action" as some people thought so~ Now, here I am to explain everything to you all~ :) this is going to be a very very long one.. so if you are interested in reading it.. go ahead.. but if you don't, then I'm not going to force you or what so ever~ so here we go~
As some of you might know~ Hotspot Shield is a type of proxy that we use here, in China, to go through all sorts of websites (probably~) that are being banned here. During the whole month of August (if I'm not mistaken~), Hotspot Shield wasn't working! *tsktsk*. I couldn't watch Youtube, my favourite Naruto Shippuden's series (I could only read the manga ), couldn't update my blog and so on. There was a lot of people who came to me, asking me whether I'm okay or not. There are some who even called me late night and some who sent me texts asking me "Are you alright? whats wrong with you? Why do you start privatizing you blog?" etc etc etc..
hahah~ Let me just answer that few questions~ "Yes! I'm alright.. perfectly fine.. :)" "There's nothing wrong with me.. (at that time)" "I privatized it for a moment cause I didn't update it for quite sometimes, but when I wanted to publicize it..that was when the Hotspot Shield started to have problems.. and I couldn't log in to my blog to change the setting.. keeEeE! ^^" there you go... that was how I explained it to them..
I had some chit-chatting with the rest of my dorm mates yesterday. Surprisingly, most of the topics that were being discussed were those related to our beloved religion, that is Islam. They said that they have been keeping their eyes on some muslims who live here~ They (coming from different types of places) say they want to ask the muslims, this and that.. but then the language barrier is such a big gap~ Since we haven't mastered our chinese yet, so in order to explain something in chinese in a detailed way especially when it comes to religion, it is a massive problem for us.
Another major problem is that almost all muslims who live here, they don't speak english, which its really hard to make discussion.. No one really knows that I am not one of those muslims who don't speak english~ :) I rarely speak (chinese or even english) to someone when I'm in my dorm.. I just end up smiling.. hahah! So, when they knew about it, they asked me whether I could come downstairs to the living room and have a chit chat with them.. So I said yes.. :D
We discussed a lot.. from teenagers' to adults' matters.. Relationships, friendships and marriage.. social life and so on.. I think its because the people who were in the discussions are ranging from twenties (i am the 'maknae' :P :P) to forties.. haha! so I think it did make sense having all sorts of topics fussed together in a conversation..
The first question that was being asked, "Is it compulsory for muslim women to wear a hijab?" "What do you think of those muslims who don't wear hijab?" ehem2~~ I know somehow that they're were going to question me on that.. But I didn't expect it to be the first one! haha!! Well, yes yes yes! it is compulsory.. It is stated in the Quran that we need to be covered except our faces and hands.. and some hadiths stated that feets are also excluded from being covered.. but I'm not really sure about that..
I seriously have no comments or what so ever~~ its between them and Allah. Who am I to judge people? I, too, sometimes don't wear my hijab.. not most of the times though, just a few times... but I don't think that makes me a bad muslim in my opinion.. and of course, I won't say I am a very good muslim as well.. hahah! Got a long way to go..heheh
Like I've seen so many muslim women who don't wear scarves on their heads and still are good people..overall, It all depends on your intention of why are you wearing it, what we called our 'nawaitu' I guess~ In order to please our Creator and not others.. but I admit sometimes that phrase just slips away from me.. hmm.. so that results in not wearing the scarf I guess~ I'm just trying as best as I can to be a better muslim.. S.l.o.w.l.y.. heheh.. without anyone forcing me to increase my speed or maybe pressuring me.. cause I tend to rebel against those people who are pressuring me a lot..direct or indirectly..
Other questions regarding Islam were like the five pillars of Islam, Islamic marriage, how do you date someone (haha! this is pretty interesting~~ cause we, most Bruneians, we do go for dates.. haha.. I'm supposed this is not allowed in our religion.. but yeah.. we don't actually do the same according to our religion's rules.. you know.. the one that you see in "ayat-ayat cinta" or "cinta bertasbih".. like we have those couples hang out without a third person..so yeah..) ^^
Then.. about relations.. friendships.. I do have some ups and downs with that one~Cause I've been through so many changes in life.. and I experience some changes with people and surroundings~ I know that is what you called the circle of life, sometimes I feel thankful for the changes~ and some are just hard for me to swallow~ I don't really like 'changes' to be honest~ I'm not a challenging person either so yeah.. I'm a type of person who always lay back.. hahah!! relax is ME~ or should I say 'lazy'? hahah! just kidding~ Nevertheless, I'm just being thankful to those who are still willing to be beside me, despite they're admitting that they've changed.. they still don't give up their friendship that they have with me~ or in other way, though I've changed.. they're still there...therefore I really really thank them.. :') ( I always end up crying whenever this issue is brought up..I'm really sensitive to this.. :'D ) I really really love my friends.. I will always do..
Discussion on marriage.. well I kept my mouth shut for most of the time.. hahaha!! since I have never ever experienced it.. not even once~ so I don't really know the life of a married couple.. I do know how hard it is to be a mom or a dad.. since I do take care of siblings as well as other people's children.. Taking care of them is already challenging for me~~ raising children?? I can't even imagine myself on that page~~ hahah!! two thumbs-up to all the parents in the world!! But I surely don't know the life of a married couple.. so no further comments on that.. ^^,
Teenage life.. well, my teenage life is like a roller-coaster ride.. you guys should know what I mean by it~~cause you have experienced it too! Don't think I need to go into details on that~~
I think that is all for now.. its 5.53 in the morning.. I need to go to sleep for like 2-3 hours (or if I have a nice dream, I'll go for another 2 extra hours.. :P) then wake up and do my laundry... oh ya.. my roommate is back.. -_-" I need to get ready with my broom and mob.. she's not so~~ hmm.. clean... -_-'
Okay people, chao!
